Al-Arian Shill, Meg Laughlin, Says Taliban Better Than U.S.

Meg Laughlin, Saint Petersburg Times reporter and Sami Al-Arian's shill in the media, on May 2, 2008, told former CAIR leader Ahmed Bedier, on his radio show, that the Taliban treats its prisoners better than the United States does.

She stated, "When I was in Afghanistan, I did a story on men who had been prisoners of war of the Taliban - and these were Northern Alliance soldiers who had been captured by the Taliban and held - and to me, the sad irony is that they were provided with every right that the Geneva Convention gives. They would list for me, they got a mattress, they got a blanket, they were able to get letters out, the international Red Cross could come in and monitor them. And I bring this up to say that I do think it's such a sad irony that the Taliban [has respected] the rule of law, at least when it came to prisoners in a war situation, more than the United States has."
