Is CAIR's Ahmed Bedier Censoring YouTube Comments?

Meet the dashing, elegant Ahmed Bedier:

He is the Executive Director of CAIR's Tampa, Florida chapter. About 7 months ago, he became a YouTube member and is a
YouTube Director. You can see his CAIR propaganda on his blog and on YouTube (here).

On several of his YouTube videos, you can find him responding to what he would call "Islamophobic" (
argumentum ad hominen) comments against his organization and Islamic issues in general. He seems like an open-minded person then, right? If he's replying to YouTube user comments, then surely he has little to hide!

Well, not quite.

Let's examine a couple of the YouTube sites in which Director Bedier (YouTube username bedier) posted CAIR propaganda, and judge for yourself how the comments were handled:

Case 1:

The video comments section can be found
here.

If you compare it with the screen shots of the site taken during the first week of October 2006 (below), you will notice that several comments have been deleted, and commenting was subsequently disabled.

Guess which comments were deleted?

Red highlights and text on the screen dumps were added to pinpoint the deleted comments. The YouTube username at the top of the first screen dump was also removed. Other than that, these screen dumps are authentic.

Click on each image to see it enlarged:

The comments deleted were:

"oh i forgot there is mercy on apostates they have time to repent"

"it true, but if ur a muslim u have to be all ur life well it my choice..."

"i left the strong cult in peshwar pakistan 4 years ago i am born again made new with the lord amen read the gospels people abz amen"

"All the Quranic verses bedier mentions are from Meccan suras which were introduced by Muhammad when he lived in Mecca and he had few followers. When he moved to Medina, he became more powerful and that's when the violent Medina Suras were introduced. Most Islamic theologians agree that the 'peaceful' verses about were abrogated by the verses of the sword, especially in Sura 9. More details to follow."

"And even if AI is anti-Muslim, so what? If it said 1+1 = 2, will you say it's not true? Why not refute the message instead of attacking the messenger?"

"Sura 9 is the last sura in the Quran. The first part of it was read to the Muslims and idolators in Mecca by Ali ibn Abi Talib. He told the idolators to convert to Islam or die within four months. Quran 9:5 gave the Muslims permission a green light to slay all the idolators wherever they find them. This last Sura abrogates all the other ones you pointed out. You're full of Taqiyya (Islamic deception)."

"And no, this has nothing to do with self-defence. Muhammad raided Mecca after breaking a treaty with the pagans. The Qurans says so itself: Quran 9:3: "And an announcement from God and His Apostle, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage, - that God and His Apostle dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans."

Gee, all these comments must be hate speech, eh? This comment, on the other hand, was not deleted (bold text is my emphasis):

"abdul rahman should of been hanged. sharia only aplies to muslims, non muslims are allowed to worship how they want"

It gets worse:

It's not just genuine criticism of Islam that Bedier seems to be concerned about. During his/her conversation with Bedier on the same site, pundit1234 points out well-known facts about CAIR's connections with Saudi Arabia:

Hey, at least Bedier did not directly lie about it as Ibrahim Hooper did, right? He just quietly deleted the comment without refuting it with lies, hoping no one will notice. But noticed others did.

Case 2:

The video comments section can be found here.

In this section, comments are not disabled (yet?), but comments submitted do not appear on the site until they are approved.

About a month ago, the following comment was submitted on that site - not very different from the one posted in Case 1:

"I personally don't trust CAIR. It is well-funded by Saudi Arabia. In 2002, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), that is supported by Saudi Arabia, announced its cooperation with CAIR on a $1 million PR campaign. In that same year, Saudi prince Al-Waleed bin Talal funded CAIR with $500,000.

Let's also not forget that Saudi King Fahd pledged $8 million to build a mosque at the Masjid Bilal Islamic Center at South Central Los Angeles.
"

The screen dump shows the comment being typed in, followed by a dialog box indicating that the comment is awaiting approval.

Nothing hateful, right? All factual. Not the nicest news one wants to hear, but it's true.

As you can see on the site, new comments commending Bedier were posted, but not the above comment.

Other case:

Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs mentions another incident.

CAIR loves to speak about equal rights, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and democracy. However, it's getting clearer and clearer to more non-Muslims, day after day, that the likes of CAIR love the aspects of democracy that support their agendas, not more. Want to criticize other religions and make anti-Semitic remarks? "Freedom of speech!", CAIR screams out (it is indeed legitimate for the former). Others criticizing Islam or CAIR by using authentic sources? No, they'll fight that with their lawsuits and accusations of hate speech.

Indeed, if Ahmed Bedier were to be the President of the United States, you bet your boots he will toss the human values he preaches today ("It is time for people of conscience to rise above their fears and work with each other for the common good of all humanity.") right out of the window.

This is what CAIR doesn't want you to know: CAIR: Islamists Fooling the Establishment.

It won't end with censorship:

This will only get worse. You see, Bedier's censorship is actually not how mainstream Islam handles criticism. The tradition of the founder of Islam, Muhammad, was that critics should be assassinated.

Before you start throwing accusations of me hating Islam, I'll simply quote the Islamic sources on one example: The assassination of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf, who after the Battle of Badr in March 624 "composed amatory verses of an insulting nature about the Muslim women." [Ibn Ishaq's Sirat Rasul Allah (The Life of Muhammad), the oldest biography of Muhammad]

The story continues:

Excerpt from Sahih al-Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59, Number 369:

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:

Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?" The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). "The Prophet said, "You may say it." ... He came to Kab at night along with Kab's foster brother, Abu Na'ila. ... Kab bin Al Ashraf came down to them wrapped in his clothes, and diffusing perfume. Muhammad bin Maslama said. " have never smelt a better scent than this... Will you allow me to smell your head?" Ka'b said, "Yes." Muhammad smelt it and made his companions smell it as well. Then he requested Ka'b again, "Will you let me (smell your head)?" Ka'b said, "Yes." When Muhammad got a strong hold of him, he said (to his companions), "Get at him!" So they killed him and went to the Prophet and informed him."

If this didn't shake you, the assassinations of Abu Afak and Asma bint Marwan will shock you more.

These people were killed simply because they criticized Islam's founder and Muslims. Hence, the inability of the likes of Ahmed Bedier to accept criticism and refute it logically is expected from them. Unless America stands up against these Taqiyya fifth columns, it will only be a matter of time before killing Americans critical of supremacist Muslim groups will be commonplace. Europe is now suffering the consequences of tolerating the intolerant.

You don't think so?

Ask
Theo van Gogh why he was shot and stabbed to death.

Ask
Salman Rushdie why he's been living in hiding for more than fifteen years till today.

Ask the translators and publishers of The Satanic Verses why they were attacked and killed.

Ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali why she needs high security levels round the clock.

Ask the Danish cartoonists who drew cartoons of Muhammad for the Jyllands-Posten why they went into hiding.

And while you're at it, ask Bedier why he takes the time to censor YouTube comments and do little to confront the "Religion of Peace" supporter here:

But I doubt he'll CAIR (couldn't resist) to answer any more than how he had 'answered' Joe Kaufman in the past.

***UPDATE***

Anti-CAIR shows another instance in which Ahmed Bedier recently deleted some comments on YouTube (scroll to the bottom).

Part of that exchange involved him saying,

"We're as transparent as you get my friend, but people like you only hide behind
screen names."

Who's hiding now?

CAIR Hawk,
An excellent and detailed essay! You've really made your point.

Does CAIR think that not answering questions and not responding to comments will make those questions and comments go away?

At one point, I think that Bedier commented (somewhere), "Actions speak louder than words." The catalogue here of the persecution and murder of those who have dared to speak of Islam's militancy does indeed speak loudly.

Thank you, Always on Watch.

Censorship is an admission of defeat. Bedier’s actually doing a great job exposing CAIR.

Thanks Ahmed!

Mr. Bedier said, you guys are driving so many visitors to my sites.

I don't hang around YouTube, but I haven't seen any recent comments posted at Mr. Bedier's blog--at least to the top article. I realize that visitors to blogs don't always comment, but still I have to wonder if comments have been made but not approved.

Keep using that derogatory term for us Ahmed, keep on. I hope more people go to your blog. There is plenty of "hate speech" there to shock people. Keep claiming credibility while you can Bedier.

You have by now figured out that I am a very tiny woman, I take it?

--Mr. Pimp

P.S. Bedier, I'll be taking a REAL screen capture, as I have of all of your web antics.

The screen shots taken are absolutely authentic.

I know this doesn’t help dispute Bedier’s claims of forgery, but please be patient everyone. I cannot say more for the time being.

As for Ahmed Bedier, there’s one thing I’ll tell him. It’s a verse from the Qur’aan (17:81), so he should like it:

جَاء الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا

Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.

Indeed, the truth has arrived. The world is waking up.

If I were Bedier, I’d try to sue Ali Sina for his upcoming publication:

http://www.faithfreedom.org/book.htm

But he won’t. Because he knows the publicity generated from the lawsuit will just encourage people to buy it.

And if he really wants CAIR to commit suicide and sue him, he should read what Ali thinks of any lawsuit against him:

http://www.faithfreedom.org/oped/sina50730.htm

This cannot be mentioned often enough:

"All the Quranic verses bedier mentions are from Meccan suras which were introduced by Muhammad when he lived in Mecca and he had few followers. When he moved to Medina, he became more powerful and that's when the violent Medina Suras were introduced. Most Islamic theologians agree that the 'peaceful' verses about were abrogated by the verses of the sword, especially in Sura 9...."

I don't wonder that such a comment was deleted. What could be the possible response?
