Keith Ellison's Victory Speech
At the end of Keith Ellison's "God-is-good-y'all" speech, listen for the cries of "Allahu Akbar!" But, of course, Mr. Ellison's campaign had nothing to do with religion, right? Here's a little more info about the speakers. These are just their current committee assignments - keep track of these House-dhimmis when Pelosi reshuffles everyone's positions next year.
Attendees will include “a representative” from the FBI, according to Robert Spencer, and these are the speakers:
1. Congressman-Elect Keith Ellison (D-MN)
You already know all about him...but the short version is 5th Congressional District in Minnesota, past (hmmm...)member of the Nation of Islam, long-time defender of anti-semites such as Farrakhan, happy recipient of CAIR-bucks for his campaign. He has publicly stated that he will take his oath on a Koran, not a Bible - would that be the official Saudi version with the extra jihadist diatribes?
2. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX)
Background: 18th Congressional District in Texas. She is currently a senior member of the Homeland Security Committee, and a ranking member on the Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security, and Claims. She receives a surprisingly large proportion of her campaign contributions from individuals with Arabic surnames, given the district demographics – see http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/can_ind/H4TX18054 . Her support for CAIR at their recent Ramadan Iftar dinner was unequivocal: “"CAIR is more important now than maybe ever in our lifetime," said Rep. Wait, there's more! Here’s another reason CAIR chose her to speak: an amendment she wrote (perhaps just for the political record, since she withdrew it immediately): “An amendment to prohibit use of funds in the bill to support programs that target segments of the Muslim and Arab communities for national security investigations.”

Background: Democracy Now was created ten years ago because Goodman finds the MSM, including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, too far right. 4. Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-MD)
Background: 7th Congressional District in Maryland, past Chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus. Cummings provided a quote for the CAIR endorsement website page:: ““I commend the Council on American-Islamic Relations for your leadership and dedication.” -Rep. CAIR representatives attended Cummings’ Town Hall meeting on the Patriot Act on April 25, 2005 (http://www.cairmd.org/new/links/news.asp?CurPageNo=7 ).
Shortly after, on June 4th, Cummings was the invited speaker at the CAIR Maryland/Virginia chapter Banquet and Fundraiser, along with Congressman Chris Van Hollen, Sheikh Abdalla Idris Ali (http://www.discoverthenetwork.com/individualProfile.asp?indid=1361 ), Georgetown Law Professor and Attorney David Cole (author of Enemy Aliens: Double Standards and Constitutional Freedoms in the War on Terrorism) and ex-military Chaplain [James] Yusuf Yee.
Ironically, Cummings seems to be deserting his traditional close links with the Maryland Jewish community. It is possible that his co-sponsors for the “Elijah Cummings Youth in Israel program (http://www.ecyp.org/ ), supported by a number of foundations and individuals (http://www.ecyp.org/template.php?section=SP ) who presumably support Israel, are unaware of his developing ties to Hamas-linked CAIR. Yes, American Jewish voters elect Democrats, especially in Maryland, but at some point can't you push them too far?
5. Congressman Albert R. Wynn (D - MD)
Background: 4th Congressional District in Maryland. Later on February 28, 2006, he was one of 40 co-sponsors for H.CON.RES.348, calling on U.S. forces to withdraw as soon as possible after September 2006. Wynn is currently a Deputy Democratic Whip, chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus' Political Action Committee, and he chairs the Congressional Black Caucus Task Force on Campaign Finance Reform, and the Caucus' Minority Business Task Force. He serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee, where he is a member of the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, and the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet.
Will Wynn use his position on the Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet to silence speech critical of organizations like CAIR?
