Return of the Jihadi

In light of the fact that CAIR-Florida's Communications Director Ahmed Bedier lists on his blog profile "The Star Wars Series" as one of his "Favorite Movies," the following seems appropriate:

Long ago, in a Tampa CAIR office far enough away
that nobody can see what's goin' on in there...

How childish...

Coming from someone that refers to convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian as a "harmless guy," that's a compliment. By the way, Danya, how's that house you and your parents are building in Syria? Tell Ramadan Shallah I said "Hi." :)

Oh, it's beautiful. He looks like Jabba, leaves comments that aim more for the Emperor, and lists this series in his favorite movies on Blogger. Had to be done. I'm working on an Ahmed the Hutt, but with my Photoshop skills don't hold your breath.

Dayna, no childish would be Bedier losing his temper and calling me "Mr. Pimp". Or backtracking and deleting comments on his blog that were anti-semitic once he was called on them. Or the comments he has left on my blog. Those were childish AND poorly written. Take your pick.

I think this posting is so silly and agree with Danya. Ahmed Bedier has arguably done more than anyone else in the Tampa Bay Area, with the support of non-Muslims and Muslims, to foster dialogue on several critical and important issues.
I would try to address some of the comments posted by Joe and Pim ghost, but I wouldn’t know where to begin. It’s the mental equivalent of trying to convince someone the earth is round when they believe it is flat. The evidence (e.g. that Mr. Bedier is a productive, peaceful citizen) is as clear as the Florida sky is blue but the ignorant (Joe, Pim Ghost, etc…) are blind and there isn’t much in the way on convincing them with logic.
On that note, I do support free speech and by extension, I support the right of the person who created it to do this. I just pity them because they have nothing better to do with their time. People like myself have to play doctor to silly people like Joe and Pim’s ghost and in our free time, we have to try to dispel their ignorance- all while maintaining dignity and staying true to high morals and ethics.
As they say, hope springs eternal. I hope we can encourage more fruitful dialogue in the future instead of outright slander.
